The photon structure function measurements from LEP

One of the most powerful tools to investigate the internal structure of quasi real photons is the measurement of photon structure functions in deep inelastic electron photon scattering at ee colliders. These measurements have by now a tradition of sixteen years since the first F γ 2 was obtained by PLUTO [1]. The LEP accelerator is a unique place for the measurements of photon structure functio...

Exclusive Channels in Photon-photon Collisions at Lep

The study of exclusive channels in photon-photon collisions at e + e − colliders allows to investigate the structure and the properties of hadrons in a very clean experimental environment. A concise review of the most recent results obtained at LEP is presented.

A high - Q 2 measurement of the photon structure function F γ 2 at LEP 2

The photon structure function F γ 2 (x,Q ) has been measured at 〈Q〉 of 706 GeV using a sample of two-photon events with a scattered electron observed in the OPAL electromagnetic endcap calorimeter. The data were taken during the years 1997-1999, when LEP operated at ee centre-of-mass energies ranging from 183 to 202 GeV, and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 424 pb. This analysis repres...
